The electrical systems in Dupuis Hall have been repaired. Dupuis Hall has been reopened and all facilities are resuming normal scheduling.
Chemical Engineering’s Dr. Dominik Barz and Mining’s Dr. Joshua Marshall are among four Queen’s Researchers to receive $526,402 from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation’s (CFI) Leaders Opportunity Fund in recognition of their leading-edge research projects.
A project team led by Queen’s Engineering’s Dr. Brant Peppley has been awarded $1,503,600 in funding from the Ontario Research Fund - Research Excellence program for the Energy Storage and Recovery Ontario (ESARO) project, to develop technologies to help in managing the variability of solar and wind power generation.
The Faculty is accepting applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching undergraduate courses in the 2011-2012 session
Dr. Batchelor taught civil engineering at Queen’s for 27 years before retiring in 1993. In addition to his long academic career, Dr. Batchelor was a champion of race relations within the local and national communities, a staunch advocate of education, and an avid golfer.
