Smith Engineering proudly offers a variety of awards to recognize and support the outstanding research of our students.
Smith Engineering will increase opportunities for graduate students to share their research with the scientific community at national and international conferences.
Award amounts: up to $1,000 for conferences in Canada and up to $2,500 for conferences abroad.
Study Level: GraduateSmith Engineering will increase opportunities for graduate students to visits academic groups at other institutions for the acquisition of new technical skills, and/or to enhance collaborations between academic research groups.
Award amount: up to $10,000.

The Charles Allan Thompson Summer Research Award was established in memory of Charles Allan Thompson, BSc (Mech.Eng.) 1937, and is intended to provide support to undergraduate students in Smith Engineering to participate in a summer research Program.
