Shahram Yousefi

Shahram Yousefi is the Associate Dean, Corporate Relations, in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.   

Dr. Yousefi received his BSc in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran. He worked for several years in industry, prior to joining the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada, as an MASc student in 1997, and where he received his PhD in 2002.

Dr. Yousefi has held positions at Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto; École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland; Jilin University, China; University of California, Santa Cruz; and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Queen's University, where he is currently a tenured full professor.

In his role as Associate Dean, Corporate Relations, Dr. Yousefi works with the Corporate Relations team to enhance the development of strategic work-integrated opportunities, analyze cross-industry data and trends, and to provide engineering-specific career supports.

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Corporate Relations team works with students and employer partners in all industries to open new avenues for collaboration and professional experiences. Building on the unique strengths of the Queen’s engineering experience, the team will deliver fresh resources and professional development opportunities to empower students in obtaining summer jobs and internships, to help them launch their careers, and to facilitate future employment opportunities.
