The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen's University has been a leader in engineering education innovations for several decades. They include the Integrated Learning initiatives, development of the team project-based design and professional practice experiences in first year and second year, multidisciplinary industry-based design courses, faculty-wide development of a design sequence in every year, and outcomes-based assessment.
