Wellness Abroad: Health and Learning at Exchange Partner Universities

Your wellbeing is a top priority whether you’re in Kingston, Tokyo, or Bridgetown! It’s important that you think about how you will stay well while abroad. Dr. Arunima Khanna from Student Wellness Services will provide an overview of key considerations for supporting mental and physical health while adjusting to life in another country. This webinar will also speak to the importance of researching academic accommodation services when vetting partner universities.

 

Funding Your Exchange

There may be large expenses to plan for while on exchange but there are also terrific supports for students, such as: bursaries, Queen‘s scholarships, and external scholarships . Further, there considerations that students can plan for to make the most of your studies abroad. Studying Abroad Safely- OCASP Orientation (AY2022-2023)

In this session, you will learn about key safety considerations that you will need to contemplate prior to the commencement of your exchange program. You will also learn about the OCASP (Off Campus Activity Safety Policy) process as well as additional considerations related to the current pandemic and how it will impact you before you finalize your travel plans. This session will be hosted by Ms. Sandra Jeffers, Health and Safety Specialist – OCASP, at the Department for Environmental Health and Safety, with support from Faculty International Offices.

One hour live zoom session to help you understand the exchange application process in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. This is also a good opportunity to meet and chat with the returned exchange students.

Live sessions on Microsoft Teams, November 15 to 18, 2021.

There is no better way to begin your research and heighten your excitement about studying abroad than attending the famous International Exchange Fair, where you will meet and talk to the university representatives and exchange student volunteers.
