Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre

The Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre (DDQIC) is a pan-university initiative enabled through the Office of the Provost‎ and strong continuing support from its founding faculties. DDQIC was established in 2012 by the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and Smith School of Business.

The mission of the Centre is to encourage, enable and support the innovation and entrepreneurship activities of students, professors, entrepreneurs, regional and Canadian companies through incubators, accelerators, joint courses, workshops, internship opportunities, seminar series, conferences and business plan competitions.

The DDQIC is located in the Rose Innovation Hub, on the main floor of Mitchell Hall. The facility offers co-working space, a suite of meeting rooms, the Event Commons, the LinQLab workshop space, and the SparQ Studios makerspace.
