Queen's Talent

Queen’s students are well-rounded problem solvers and highly sought-after for their experience in a collaborative and engaged student community.

All Engineering students gain experience with client design projects throughout the program, leading to increased competence with design thinking, ideation, teaming, client communication, conflict resolution techniques, project management, testing, iteration, and evaluation.

Events and Information Sessions

Information Session

Hosting an employer information session is a great way to connect with our students directly. Companies or education programs that want to recruit Queen’s students or raise students’ awareness of their organization or programs will often hold information sessions.

Annual Career Events

Career Fair
The Career Fair is a premiere recruitment event held every September at Queen’s. Typically, over 1,800 students attend the event to network with employers, learn more about employment, internships, professional development, and further education opportunities. Employers and educators from diverse fields come from around the world to meet Queen’s Students.

Queen’s University Engineering and Technology Fair
Held every October and January, the “Eng and Tech” Fair provides an opportunity for Engineering and Technology focused employers to connect directly with Queen’s University’s Engineering and Computing students. Over 1,600 students attend the fair, eager to discuss internships and post graduate positions.

Alumni and engineering professionals share their work experience and tips about how to succeed in the industry. Students ask questions during Q and A.

Internships

Queen's Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP)

QUIP is a 12 to16-month internship program available to 2nd and 3rd year students. Employers have access to students in over 60 majors in multiple Faculties, including Engineering, Computing, Arts and Science, and Health Sciences.

QUIP offers employers a continuous recruitment cycle, meaning you can post at any time. Students in this program start their internships in May, September or January and provide the company with a real return-on-investment over the duration of their internship.
