Queen's Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP)

The Queen’s Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP) provides students with a 12-16 month accredited work experience. QUIP internships are paid, professionally supervised, career-related positions designed to offer second or third-year students the opportunity to learn about current advances, practices, and technologies in business and industry.

Why choose to do a QUIP internship?

  • Add “Professional Internship” designation to your degree
  • Take a break from academics and test drive a career in your field of interest
  • Build the skills employers really want from new grads
  • Apply QUIP for credit in place of one of your technical/free electives to lighten the course load of your final year (policy varies by department)
  • Make valuable business/industry contacts to build your professional network
  • Earn a full salary while retaining student status (implications for scholarships, financial aid, and insurance)
  • Return to Queen's with an impressive resume and have more experience to start your post-graduation job search

Why Register for QUIP?

  • Access – get exclusive access to the QUIP job board and 150+ cross-industry employers hiring students for start dates in May, September, and January
  • Flexibility -  you decide when you want to start, which opportunities to apply to, and which offers to accept
  • Support - gain access to internship job search skill development, one-on-one advising, and more with a dedicated team of QUIP coordinators
