McAuley earns Fisher Award
Kim McAuley, professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies here at Queen’s, has earned the 2017 D.G. Fisher Award from the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering. The award is bestowed for substantial contributions to the field of systems and control engineering in Canada.
“It feels great,” says McAuley. “If I look back at past award winners, there are some very distinguished people on the list, so I feel quite honoured to be in their company.”
Among past winners are Queen’s Vice-Principal of Advancement, Tom Harris and past Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, David Bacon.
The award will be bestowed at a ceremony in October.
