VIDEO: A waste water research project, Part Two

David Blair, a Master's candidate in Civil Engineering, is working with a group of undergraduate researchers and public works officials in Loyalist Township on a project to better understand wastewater treatment processes at the Amherstview Wastewater Treatment Facility near Kingston. Specifically, the project will test the accuracy and effectiveness of an important piece of water testing equipment developed here at Queen's: the TECTA-PDS (Pathogen Detection System). In the last installment, Blair and his research assistants collected samples in the field. Now, on to the lab.

Blair works under the supervision of Queen's Civil Engineering professor, Dr. Pascale Champagne, at the Beaty Water Research Centre.
