Dayna Smith joins the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science

Dayna Smith

We are pleased to announce that Dayna Smith has joined the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science as the Manager, Human Resources, effective November 3, 2014.  With more than 15 years of HR generalist experience (several of which were in Director-level positions), she has worked in both the private sector (High-tech, Contract Research, Manufacturing) and Education (Post-Secondary). Dayna has worked with Queen’s central HR since November 2012 in the role of Manager, Client Services, supporting a diverse portfolio group. She offers skills in Recruitment and Selection, Training, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations and Job Evaluation.  

Along with her diverse HR experience, Dayna’s post-secondary education includes a BA (Psychology) and HR Professional Studies. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and a long-standing member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
