Engineering professors earn substantial CFI funding

Resources to support research into new diagnostic and clinical tools

Queen’s engineering professors Laura Wells and Michael Rainbow are among six Queen’s researchers who have earned substantial grants from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) John R Evans Leaders Fund.

Wells, of the department of chemical engineering, secured $125,000 to further her research into bio responsive drug delivery systems. Rainbow, of the department of materials and mechanical engineering, earned $200,000 for further development of his High-Speed Skeletal Imaging Laboratory.
