Digging deeper into the MINE471 capstone project



Fourth-year Queen’s engineering students built this proof-of-concept continuous mining machine over the winter of 2015-2016 as capstone project for MINE471.

Emma Brook, Lukas Dekker, Monica Lutz, Nick Murray, James Procropio, James Hassan, Matt Schmitt, Alex Shieck, Matt Cavasin, Sebastian Ratzinger, Julien Sullivan, Thomas Lloyd, Daniel Lo and Danielle Ouellet are the brains behind the operation. 

The project developed under the guidance of Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining professor Josh Marshall.
