Earlier this year the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Queen's hosted a seminar with Dr. Linda Slakey, Senior Scholar, Research Hub, Bay View Alliance. It's all about how universities can and do collaborate to ensure students get best, most modern, education.

At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Dr. Linda Slakey served as Professor, Head of the Department of Biochemistry, as Dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and as Dean of Commonwealth College. From 2006 through 2011, she was Director of the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation. At present, she has a consulting practice in Washington, DC, focused on bringing about a shift in the culture of undergraduate teaching, and is a HUB Leader of the Bay View Alliance.
