The annual Fall Preview Open House for future students goes virtual and expands to a full week

The Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science will present a weeklong series of interactive online presentations during the week of November 16-20 to introduce prospective students to the faculty, and showcase its programs and learning community.

Bookended on Monday by an exhaustive introductory presentation designed exclusively for potential first-year students by Associate Dean (Academics) Marianna Kontopoulou and informal sessions with current students on Friday, the remaining days will allow interested students the opportunity to learn about each of the ten disciplines of engineering available at Queen’s.

The annual Fall Preview tour of the university traditionally brought to the Queen’s campus hundreds of high school age guests and families to visit faculty buildings as well as dining and residence halls for the daylong event. This year’s Virtual Open House promises a more intimate experience with extensive time allotted to learn about program details and student experiences.

From internship, dual degrees, and international student exchange opportunities to student competitive design teams and the student-governed Engineering Society, both professors and current students will be available to answer questions about academic rigor and social community that make Queen’s Engineering the best place to live and learn.
