The Queen’s campus is adorned with at least 40 new posters this week. In an effort to highlight the contributions of women in STEM throughout history, the Women in Engineering initiative presented the displays as a scavenger hunt complete with prizes and an ongoing leaderboard of participants.

The posters are part of an ongoing project of the Ingenium museums’ Women in STEM initiative, funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) which seeks to address the underrepresentation of women in STEM and to contribute to efforts to achieve gender equity.

Participants have through the end of the week to scan the QR code attached to each poster and accumulate points to win. Organizers acknowledge the activity is not limited to engineers or women, but open to everyone.
