EngWell Takeover ends on April 29. The two-month campaign, which ran March to April, facilitated student health and wellness initiatives while it transformed spaces inside Beamish-Munro Hall into a unique and interactive wellness retreat.

Wellness messages and tips were marked on walls, inside elevators, on floors and windows. Activities featured self-guided elevator exercises, pop-up beverage stations and a scavenger hunt. Giveaways included Amazon gift cards, SQUISH candy, Skinny Popcorn, Bubly and a dinner with the Dean at AquaTerra.

From a feedback survey sent to all current Queen’s Engineering students, 83% of student respondents said that they found the campaign eye-catching; 64% of students said that the activities were helpful in thinking about their own health and wellness; 64% said that the campaign helped improve their perception of wellness as something that should be prioritized; and 69% of students rated the campaign Good or Excellent.

The campaign wraps up with a final beverage station at the end of the month. Students are encouraged to submit their feedback to improve the quality of future health and wellness initiatives.
