The Dean’s Teaching Assistant Award winners are recognized each spring for work carried out over the prior school year. The five engineering departments at Queen’s can select up to four assistants for recognition, each of whom receive an award of $3000.

An important piece of the puzzle that leads to student success in university, teaching assistants help clarify and solidify concepts, and provide hands-on support so undergraduate students can learn the material in a way that suits them best. Exceptional TAs not only prepare learning material but share tips and advice on how to learn difficult concepts and provide students with feedback critical for their growth and improvement as learners.
