Your Journey
Living and Housing
On campus (residence):
Many exchange students choose to stay in residence during their exchange at Queen's University. Undergraduate exchange students interested in staying in residence will be assigned in a hall based on availability (often it is Jean Royce). For more information about residence at Queen's, please visit http://residences.housing.queensu.ca/
Off campus:
Exchange students may also choose to live off-campus. Finding appropriate living arrangements in Kingston can be a challenge, especially in the Fall term. We recommend that if you choose to live off-campus, you come to Kingston at least one week early to find adequate accommodations.
One of the best off-campus housing options for exchange students is the Kingston Student Housing: www.studenthousingkingston.ca
Queen's Housing Databases:
- International Housing Office (IHO) Listings: http://quic.queensu.ca/resources/housing-support/long-term-options/international-housing-office-listings/
- Queen's Apartment and Housing Listing Service:http://community.housing.queensu.ca/non-university-owned-housing/search-rental-listings/
- Queen's AMS Marketplace: http://www.myams.org/marketplace/
We recommend that students do not sign a lease or send rent money to a landlord before arriving in Kingston. For more information and advice on finding accommodation, please visit http://quic.queensu.ca/resources/housing-support/
